LEICA M4-P chrome "1913-1983", with box


Leitz/Leica company produced a commemorative model of the Leica M4-P in 1983 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first Leica prototype manufactured by Oskar Barnack.
2,500 cameras were produced with a special engraving on the back of the top cap. The following lenses were produced with special engraving, also: Elmarit-M 2,8/28mm, Summicron-M 2,0/35mm, Summicron-M 2,0/50mm, Summilux-M 1,4/50mm and Tele-Elmarit-M 2.8/90mm. Furthermore, the Winder M4-2 and the universal case 14816 were available with special engraving.
In some countries the anniversary model of the Leica M4-P was offered exclusively in sets.

And the camera was overhauled again in July 2020 (shutter speeds, e-knife adjusted, viewfinder system etc.) and is technically in a very good condition.
